CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are unable to attend a program, we can refund fees with 48 hours notice. The Museum reserves the right to cancel programs with insufficient enrollment, and will fully reimburse fees.

Discovery Art Studio & Gallery

Each week we supply directions, materials, and samples to help you make a unique, creative project to take home. Be sure to check out past examples of kid-created artwork hanging in the Discovery Art Gallery. Weekly studio themes are: The Last Snowflake; The Cat in the Hat in the Wind in the Willows; Marzenna: Winter to Spring; Create an International "Children's Nobel Book; Holi, A Celebration of Earth & Color; Great Green Grasshoppers; Flower Frenzy; Our Very Own Earth; Sham al-Neseem, Smell the Spring.
Invented by a high school teacher and his class, STARLAB can easily demonstrate celestial movement and phenomena that are often difficult to explain with conventional
classroom resources.

Come join this award-winning group of young poets! Learn fun ways to get your creative juices flowing, write your own original poems, and publish them in our poetry anthology, Museum Muses. The Poetry Club hosts a Special Guest Poet on the first Tuesday of each

Come discover the mysteries of science through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and special guests.
STARLAB resembles a silver igloo and can
accommodate up to 25 students at a time. It is intended to be used with the
class teacher in attendance.

Greetings from Ilwaco, Washington! The Discovery Corner will be packed with objects generously on loan from the Ilwaco Hertiage Museum. Travel back in time and see where Lewis & Clark stayed the freezing cold winter of 1805-1806.

It's going to be cold in February, but not as cold as the Arctic and Antarctica, which are located at the very top and the very bottom of the Earth! Explore these regions and the interesting animals that live in extremely cold temperatures. Ever run in a penguin relay race? Or worn polar bear shoes? Get ready to explore…and don't forget your mittens!

Rockhounds is Coming!
March 10th to March 21st, 2003
Rockhounds will soon be coming to a computer near you! Rockhounds is an interactive, two-week, rock identification game that allows students from around the state to become geology sleuths!
