Notice of Death


Christopher Whelan

The Norfolk Department of Fire & Paramedical Services regrets to announce the death of Christopher Whelan.  The thirty-year-old firefighter suffered a heart attack on February 13, 2000, while in transport between fire stations to fill in for a co-worker.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 17, 2000 from 10:00 a.m. to
12:00 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home- Kempsville Chapel
1485 Kempsville Rd., Virginia Beach, VA.
Final Call will take place at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February. 17, 2000 at
Fire Station One,
450 St. Paul's Blvd., Norfolk,VA
Funeral procession will proceed to Colonial Grove Memorial Park,
3445 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA.

A memorial has been set up to assist the family at the:
