Welcome to the Virginia Fire Chiefs Association ON-LINE

If this is your first visit to our ON-LINE services, I hope you will find this a very useful resource.

This association was organized in 1930, as the State Fire Chiefs Association of Virginia, and continues to work with other emergency response organizations throughout the commonwealth to provide leadership and collaboration to reduce the effects of fire, environmental, medical emergencies, and terrorist acts. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens and visitors in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The Association continues to function and grow by utilizing dedicated Executive Officers, Board Members and a host of Operating Committees. The association also employs 7 part time employees to provide Executive assistance, Secretarial, Bookkeeping, Data Processing, Newsletter, Website and Lobbyist functions. The Board of Directors is comprised of and represents the interests of Career, Combination and Volunteer Departments providing coverage across the Commonwealth. 

If you would like to become involved in the business of the association as an active member of one of our Committees, please let me hear from you. Together, we can accomplish the goals of this association, if we all do our part.

Subscribing is absolutely free!  In the near future, the website will have a new web address to match its new name and will appear as www.vafca.org.
