Notice of Death


Edward Cosby Bond, Sr.
1910-2000

Edward Cosby Bond, 90, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000. He was a charter
member and the oldest member of the Courtland Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Hattie Simmons Bond; two sons,
Edward O. Bond, Jr. and his wife, Lynda, and Carl A. Bond, and his
wife,Cynthia; four granddaughters, Karen Bond, Elizabeth Bond Graff, Amy
Herold and Suzan Bond; and five great-grandsons.

Memorial donations may be made to
either the Courtland Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 449, Courtland,
VA; or to the Courtland United Methodist Church, 22416 Main St.,
Courtland, VA 23837.

The members of SFCAV are saddened by this loss of our colleague and friend, and offer our
