Description: Luckily for me, my Grandfather, Frank, prevoiusly shown, loved to take pictures...so I have this wonderful library of family images. Also, luckily for me, my Mother has collected family stories for our family's listening pleasure...see if you can follow this one.,,I only hope I explain it well.

Anna was Frank's Mother, his father's second wife. His father's first wife, Bell, died along with their daughter. Interestinly enough, Frank married a woman named Bell, for whom Frank's father had deep affection. In my Great Grandfather's heart, my Mother, Frank and Bell's daughter, took the place of the daughter he had lost so many years before. Since Frank and Bell were studying to be a Doctor and a Nurse (at UVa.), Frank's parents took care of their daughter, my mother, for the first 5 years of her life. Of course there were lots of visits, but my mother lived in Washington D.C. with them and remained very close to them for the rest of their lives.

This was, of course, the short version...
