Karl Kirchwey's fifth book of poems, The Happiness of This World, is forthcoming from Marian Wood Books/Putnam. He is associate professor of the arts and director of the Creative Writing Program at Bryn Mawr College.
About Southwest Review:
Begun in 1915 and located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, Southwest Review is the fourth oldest, continuously published literary quarterly in the United States. We try to discover works by new writers and publish them beside those of more established authors. Selections from Southwest Review have been reprinted in volumes of Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards, Best American Short Stories, Best American Essays, Best American Poetry, New Stories from the South, and elsewhere.
