Bob Hicok's most recent book is Insomnia Diary (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2004). His most recent sorrow is his inability to patch the cracks in his drive.
About The Iowa Review:
In 2000, The Iowa Review entered its 30th year of continuous publication. Several hundred unsolicited manuscripts arrive each week through most of the year, from throughout the country and abroad, from which we select the greater part of our contents. We take our mission to be nudging along American literature, to be local but not provincial, to be experimental but not without elegance. Although you may find writers already familiar to you in most of our issues, you will surely find others who are not. Discovering a new and compelling writer still seems the magic of our work, as does, increasingly, the frontier of the Web.
