GRAND KNIGHT REPORT

Happy Easter, He is risen! What glorious words. I don’t know about you but I live in anticipation of these words every day of my life.  What better message can you expect?  We have life events that are very important to us, joyous ones such as weddings, births of children and grandchildren and sad ones such as family members moving away and yes even death.  The fact that I live with the risen Lord helps me to appreciate these times more.  Knowing that I am able to enjoy the good times and can give thanks for them is equaled with the knowledge that I have the support and comforting care of Jesus during the bad.  It is truly a great gift each year to face anew the challenges of an awaking earth with Jesus Christ risen from the dead and on my side. Alleluia and Vivat Jesus.

As spring awakens around us and we shake off the drowsiness of winter there are many things to look forward to in our Council.  The very next thing is KOVAR. Please find the time to involve not only yourself but your whole family in this worthy cause.  If we don’t help these the neediest of God’s children, who will?  Right in the middle of KOVAR the Catholic School has asked for our help during their annual auction.  This is Saturday evening, I plan on being there after my KOVAR shift(s) on Saturday won’t you please plan on doing the same.  Bill Phillips and I will be attending the State Convention the last weekend in April.  Then on May 11 and 12, what time is it Kids, its Crozet Arts and Craft time.  Please plan some time this weekend to come out and give us a hand. The Council also has three times for the Fridays After Five this summer.  We are scheduled to work Security, I’ll more information at our next meeting.

The earth is busy coming alive and we have lots of projects to keep us busy.  Thanks to Our Father we have the gift of Jesus to guide and encourage us.
