The Site

This is a site about GMT Games' The Battles of Waterloo.  The site contains published reviews and other materials that I have written about the game, as well as play aids that I have concocted and some relevant links (all indexed at "The Substance" page).

The Author

My name is John Setear, and I've been playing board wargames since 1969, when my ten-year-old hand forked over a quarter at a rummage sale for a copy of Avalon Hill's Gettysburg.   Thirty years later, I still enjoy the historical and competitive aspects of board wargames.
