Dog Lost from the Camelot Subdivision in Albemarle County -- Friday, August 10

Clifford is a male Boston Terrier weighing about 30 lbs. Clifford needs medication, so please contact Matt at 760-3676 if you have any information about this dog.


My dog Grady is missing. He was last seen on May 7 in Ivy on Rt. 708, Dry Bridge Rd. He is a black and white springer spaniel, boarder collie mix. He is mostly white with black spots. His head is all black with some white around his nose. He has long hair on his ears and body. He is about 25 lbs and was wearing a orange hunting collar with tags.

Adult Female Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix lost in Fluvanna County

Sierra, an adult female Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix was last seen in the Wilmington area of Fluvanna County (near Kent's Store) on January 15.

Sierra is a medium size dog (65 lbs.) with a short black, blue and white coat. She also has a white spot in her left eye. She was not wearing a collar at the time she went missing. She is a friendly dog and should respond to her name if called.

Sierra's owners are offering a reward for her return or for any information about her whereabouts. Please call Tammy Kincaid at 804-589-6895 (h) or 804-974-5972 (w) if you have any information about Sierra.



Female Black Labrador Retriever lost in Batesville
on Monday afternoon, January 8

Whitney, a three year old female black labrador retriever, went missing Monday afternoon (January 8) in Batesville on Heartwood Road. Whitney is a full grown adult lab weighing 70 lbs. She was not wearing her collar when she went missing.

Whitney is a very friendly dog and will respond to her name.



Update -- We regret to report that Whitney's body was found in late May in a pond near her home. She had apparently broken through the ice on the pond last January and drowned.

We offer our sincere condolences to Whitney's family.

Harry is a very shy dog who ran off from his new home last weekend. He is a young male Dachshund mix. In recent weeks, has been seen several times on Westerly Avenue (off of Fontaine Avenue, near the Fontaine Research Park).

We are very pleased to report that the two dogs (a male beagle and a female beagle/hound mix) found on Sunday, February 4, outside of Totier Creek Farm on Route 20 South (near Scottsville) have both been placed in new homes. No owner came forward to claim the dogs.

Thanks to Kirsten and Bart Yavorosky for taking the time and making the effort to find good homes for both of these dogs!


Chocolate Lab Missing Near Free Union

We are very sorry to report that Latigo, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever who had been missing from the Free Union area since February 2, 2001, is dead. He was apparently struck and killed by a car.

We offer our sincere condolences to Latigo's family.




If you've lost a dog or other pet in the greater Charlottesville area you should check with the local animal shelters to see if someone has brought the animal in. You should also call WINA Radio (1070 AM) at 804-220-2334 to have information about your missing pet announced on their "Pet Patrol."


You can also contact the cityofdogs.com. We will be glad to help locate lost dogs or other pets in Central Virginia by posting photographs of any and all missing pets, along with any other useful information, on our Website as quickly as possible. There will never be any charge for this service.
