Originally from Norway, Ms. Frantzen has resided in
Charlottesville for
the past 12 years, during which time her
outstanding artwork has become a
vital and very welcome part of
the local architecture. Her murals grace
the walls of a wide
variety of buildings in the area -- everywhere from
very popular
restaurants such as Southstreet
and
Northern Exposure to
Columbia Elementary School in
the far reaches of Fluvanna
County.
We are very grateful to
Ms. Frantzen for allowing us to reproduce one
of
her drawings for
the "cover" of this Web site.
Ms. Frantzen is herself the
proud owner of Homer (a Beagle mix)
and
Luna
(a pure Dalmatian), whose images and stories will soon find a
