Tracing the origin of the Meeler name and the migration of the Meeler family. --Did the first Meelers settle in VA. or farther South? I don’t see Meelers listed in the West or in New England. Anyone want to trade information?

Our History
I am a vetran of the big one -World War II and served aboard a LCI(L) 950 Are there other LCI sailors out there?
Retired in 1982 from Otis Elevator Company after an up and down career chasing, but not catching, enough dollars over much of the U.S.A.
Ann and I returned to our roots in rural Southern Virginia.
Our Family
Three children, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and none of them fortunate enough to live in Virginia
