Reflections: April 1998
Welcome, Surfers!
AS ALWAYS, I'LL SEIZE THIS AND EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO PREACH FROM A "SOAP BOX." As this is my web page, I feel it is also a place where Carl, a.k.a. "Mr. Opinion," can do just that: spout opinions, talk about my favorite team, the Lakers, complain about the state of the Music Industry and express my love of Mankind. Also, in the spirit of Free Enterprise and rash commercialism, I'll also direct you to where you can purchase my CDs, see my live shows and stay abreast of my goings on. I'll brag about my son, and give you news about the cats, the birds, our move to and from New York, and give progress reports about my Paddle Tennis game. I might even use this page as a advocacy stump to get Paddle Tennis on ESPN... since bowling, steel pole bending (across one's head) and truck pulling are already on, I think the reps from the booking department should take a trip to Venice and there by the B'ball Hoops and Muscle Beach, check out the freshest new game on earth. Three of the world's top five players set up shop there in the bikini-clad enclave called "Venice West" or "The American Riviera." I'll also use this space to grieve and celebrate transitions of friends, and others who have impacted my life. To wit: George Howard, your sound is now in the wind. May you forever Blow. Linda Eastman-McCartney, who departed on Friday, April 17 of breast cancer, is recording eternal images out in the endless universe. AND POLITICS! OH, MY GOD — POLITICS! I might even do a column here on political subjects every once in a while. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Drop in often.
