"Bypass Zener Diode Protection for Thin Film Crystalline Silicon
Multilayer Solar Cells"
	S.A. Edmiston, D.A. Clugston, S.R. Wenham, and M.A. Green
		ABSTRACT
Parallel multijunction thin film crystalline silicon solar
cells can be designed to achieve near unity internal quantum
efficiencies for all generated charge carriers irrespective
of the quality of the material. Such an approach should
achieve relatively high efficiencies from low cost materials
with very short minority carrier diffusion lengths. An
automatic series inter-connection scheme for the devices,
resulting in fabrication at a module level, has been
proposed. An important question with such an approach is the
impact that failed or mismatched cells will have upon yield
when the individual devices are not tested and sorted.

THE WORLDWIDE MAGNITUDE OF PROTEIN-ENERGY MALNUTRITION: AN
OVERVIEW FROM THE WHO GLOBAL DATABASE ON CHILD GROWTH,
	by M. deOn¡s, C. Monteiro, J. Akr & G. Clugston, pp. 703-712.
Using the WHO Global Database on Child Growth, which covers 87% of
the total population of under-5-year-olds in developing
countries, we describe the worldwide distribution of protein-energy
malnutrition, based on nationally representative cross-sectional
data gathered between 1980 and 1992 in 79 developing countries in
Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Oceania. The findings confirm that
more than a third of the world's children are affected.
Approximately, 43% of children (230 million) in developing countries
	are stunted.
