One family had left southwest Scotland around the 17th century, and
emmigrated to Antrim, Northern Ireland.  In the 18th century they moved 
to Amargh, as part of a mass movement of Presbyterians.  After the 
potato famine of 1845-1849, one son, Robert left for Australia, and at 
least one other emmigrated to Canada.
