  Noah, John, Thomas and brother-in-law Joseph Blevins followed and
  killed murderer of brothers, a constable Elgin. Elgin had gone to
  Platte County to surrender to authorities and was killed near the home
  of his father-in-law, William Tatman, three miles from Platte City on
  the Weston Road. They were arrested and taken to Richmond, Ray, MO,
  and then to Liberty, Clay, MO jail
