
In CALM’s eight years of operation:
- 18 adults have graduated from
the JobKEYS program.
- 49 adults have participated
in our Introduction to Computers classes. Congratulations to our
recent graduates!
- 16 adults attended financial
management classes during the fall of 2003 as part of our IDA program;
one participant purchased a home the next summer and three others went on
to be accepted by Habitat for Humanity’s homeownership program
- About 220 children have
participated in Summer LIFE! Day Camp.
- Teens have gone on trips to
Chicago, New York, Niagara Falls, Atlanta, Charlotte, DC, Richmond,
Pasadena, Columbus and other cities.
- Tutoring has seen full
enrollment every year since it began. Forty-three children are active in
the 1st – 4th grade program.
- Another twenty children are
involved in 5th & 6th grade tutoring.
- The 5/8 Club for 5th
– 8th grade boys draws about 25 boys each week.
- LQ Jr & Sr Club
meetings usually draw 10-12 girls each.
- LQ Sr. held its 13th retreat weekend
this past fall!
- The IG Club for 5th
& 6th grade girls has about 10 girls at its meetings.
- About 20 kids typically
participate in Bible Club during the school year.
- Ministry volunteers log
over 1300 hours per semester
